Yes, Chromium is definitely in the Software Manager, if you wish to requite that a endeavor.

Basically it runs fast, without google interference .

The settings give yous the power to hold google at arms length if that is what you wish.

I am running Chromium Version 96.0.4664.45 (Official Build) for Linux Mint (64-bit)

Wait? Google Chrome shouldn't be in the default repositories. Google's license doesn't allow for that.

After that,

At least one Distro I know offers chrome in their repository PCLinuxOS does & MX does likewise via their package installer.
In any consequence if op is running Mint Chromium or you can download from google and install fine.

I would accept believed that it was an pick going by the blurb in settings.

Non a problem in my case, because I do non use Sync
